Sit and Smile

The girls spent a good amount of time outside on this gorgeous September day. It was one of those days where the heat had finally broken and the sky was deep blue, the air crisp, and the grass bright green from recent rains and sunshine.

They gathered under the shade to rest for a spell, so I rounded them up for a quick photo. My wife usually handles the sitting and staying for our portraits, but with her away that day, I grabbed a shorter lens and gave it a try myself.

They did pretty well—and seemed downright happy about it. Looks like we’ve added a new command to the list: sit and smile.
