A phrase rooted in legend
Trumpeter Swans are often linked to the term “swan song.” In ancient Greece, it was believed that swans sang a beautiful song just before they died, giving rise to the phrase used today to describe a final, dramatic performance or statement before the end of something. (Source: All About Birds)
