Majestic Eagle Wings

What a sight to behold . . . those majestic Bald Eagle wings. This beauty was banking above the Mississippi River on a very cold and gray day (perfect for a high-key image), getting ready to dive for a fish.

Wingbeat Wisdom

In most birds, males are larger than females—but in most birds of prey, it’s the opposite. The female bald eagle is larger and has a longer wingspan than the male. Ornithologists suggest these differences in size and wingspan help male and female eagles hunt prey of different sizes and avoid competition over the same size prey. (Source: Avian Report)
